CTJohnson Photography began in 2010 with a camera, a lot of late nights, and a dream of creating a business built around connection and storytelling. What started with photographing the excitement of local races soon grew into something bigger — a passion for capturing life’s most meaningful milestones.
By 2012, the arrival of our first child inspired us to shift our focus to portraits and weddings, where we could celebrate love, new beginnings, and family in all its forms. Just a few years later, in 2015, we opened our first studio space — a milestone that turned our vision into a full-time reality.
Today, we specialize in newborn, milestone, family, and wedding photography, serving families who trust us to preserve the fleeting moments that matter most. From that first spark to the thriving studio we call home, every step of our journey has been fueled by gratitude — for our clients, our community, and the stories we get to capture every single day.

Chad's fascination with the darkroom led him to pursue several photography classes at Owens Community College. For our Oakshade fans, you may remember him as a 13 year old Bomber racer back in the late 1990’s.
Chad's specializations include weddings, events, competitive sports, commercial photography, and he dabbles in videography.
Tara graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education and Photography, along with 2 years of Graphic Design studies. Several of her night photographs from her BFA Senior Thesis were selected for juried shows and have won awards.
Tara's focus is on newborn, baby, and family photography.
