My goal is to to capture the newness of your sweet baby, and help preserve these fleeting moments by documenting all the details of your newborn - their sweet face, tiny toes, and their littleness cradled in your arms. Your newborn session includes your new baby, siblings, and family portraits.
We will create a beautiful and cohesive collection of portraits that will complement each other, and that you will cherish for years to come.
+ I highly recommend contacting us in your second trimester to get your baby on our books. I only take a limited number of newborn due dates each month to allow for flexibility in scheduling (we never know when little ones will arrive!)
+ Several weeks before your due date I will email a detailed prep guide and a questionnaire - filling this out helps me get to know your family, your expectations and ideas, etc. Please take the time to read through the prep guide, as it helps our session go smoothly. Your answers on the questionnaire help me curate a cohesive color scheme and style for your session.
+ Once your baby arrives, we will schedule your session date and time. Newborn sessions are scheduled Tuesdays-Fridays between 10am-1pm. I do not schedule newborn sessions on weekends or evenings.
+ I recommend your session take place when your baby is between 7-21 days old (when possible), as they sleep more during this age and will be most cooperative to pose and photograph.
+ All newborn sessions take place in the studio.
+ I supply all of the backdrops, props, fabrics, hats, headbands and wraps for the session. Newborns are happier if they are not changed too often, and therefore will be swaddled, in a diaper or naked for the majority of the session.
+ My style tends to lean more towards simple, neutral images that focus on your sweet baby, rather than elaborate sets and props. Of course we are happy to accommodate special items you’d like to incorporate, but our clients typically have minimal “Pinterest” requests.
+ I will post a sneak peek on social media within 1-2 days of your session. You can expect to see your gallery of edited images within 7-10 days!
