WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
Our goal is to give you natural, timeless photography that captures your personality and relationships through the images. That means that through the editing process, we aim to make your photos look as natural as possible while making you look your best. Just like fashion, editing styles become dated. We believe using light and natural color to capture beautiful images with a clean editing style, (instead of heavy post-processing) will give you a priceless gift that will last generations. We want you to look back on your photos in 50 years and be just as impressed with them as you are now.
HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
First, fill our our contact form here. We will email you back to discuss the specifics of what you are looking for with your photo session. Once we have chosen the best date and time for your session, we'll email you a booking link for you to access and digitally sign your contract. We require a $75 retainer fee; you will be prompted to pay online after signing the contract. Once both the contract is signed and retainer is paid, your session is booked. If both are not received within 48 hours of the booking email, your spot will reopen for booking.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept debit/credit, cash, Venmo or check. We also offer an online payment portal, and payment plan options on Baby Plan collections.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY GALLERY?
We will post a sneak peek from your session on social media within 48 hours! Turnaround is 3-4 weeks to edit and prepare your gallery. Rush processing is available for a $100 fee. A Signature Session typically produces around 40 edited images, plus black and white edits. Once your gallery is ready, we will send you an email with your gallery link. Your gallery will be available for six months after your session.
HOW ARE MY IMAGES DELIVERED?
Your session includes the edited images as a digital download with print release. Images are downloaded by the client directly from the online gallery to your computer. A USB flash drive can also be purchased as an additional back up. We do not offer CDs/DVDs.
WHERE SHOULD I PRINT MY IMAGES?
You can purchase prints from your gallery, or we recommend Kohne Photo in Perrysburg or mpix.com for the best quality prints.
DO YOU SELL GIFT CERTIFICATES?
Yes! Gift Cards are purchased online here. Gift Cards expire 3 years after the purchase date if unused. No refunds will be given on gift card purchases or unused balances. Gift cards are purchased as dollar values, not as session values. If pricing has changed since the card was purchased, the difference will be owed at the session. Please email us if you would like a physical gift card in addition to the digital card.
Frequently Asked Questions
Portrait Session Information
+ Portrait Sessions typically book 4-6 weeks in advance; Saturdays often book out further. Fall is a very popular time, so if you're hoping for an October session, you'll want to contact us right away when we open fall booking in July.
+ We do accept extended family sessions. Session pricing is for your immediate family (parents & children). Multi-generations are considered extended family sessions, and additional fees will apply based on the total number of people in the session.
+ For outdoor sessions, our favorite locations are the local Metroparks! You are also welcome to suggest a location of your choice, per photographer’s approval, within 25 miles of the studio (a travel fee will be charged per mile outside that radius).
+ Family sessions take place outdoors in natural light from May to early November.
+ Maternity sessions take place between 30-36 weeks, and can be outdoors or in the studio year-round.
+ We have a studio space for baby milestone and child sessions. 3 month sessions and 1 year cake smashes only take place in the studio. Please note, not all sessions are suitable for the studio - please discuss with us at booking.
+ Several weeks before your session I will email a detailed prep guide and a link to our online personalized styling service for help with wardrobe planning. You will also receive a questionnaire - filling this out helps me get to know your family, your expectations and ideas, etc.
+ On your session date, we will meet at the selected location at the scheduled time, go over any special photo requests or needs you have, and then get shooting! We will do lots of different poses, backgrounds, and walk around our location to get new perspectives. I like to capture the candid moments just as much as the smiling-at-the-camera moments. I’m happy to accommodate any posing ideas you have or any props you’d like to incorporate, but our clients typically have minimal “Pinterest” requests.
(MATERNITY, BABY MILESTONES, FAMILY, ETC)
Newborn Session Information
+ I highly recommend contacting us in your second trimester to get your baby on our books. I only take a limited number of newborn due dates each month to allow for flexibility in scheduling (we never know when little ones will arrive!)
+ Newborn sessions take place in the studio and last 1.5-2.5 hours. I do not travel for newborn sessions; and also I do not offer lifestyle/in-home sessions, hospital sessions, or birth photography.
+ I recommend your session take place when your baby is between 7-21 days old (when possible), as they sleep more during this age and will be most cooperative to pose and photograph.
+ Newborn sessions DO include family and/or sibling poses. There is no extra fee for twins.
+ Newborn sessions are scheduled Tuesdays-Fridays between 10am-1pm. I do not schedule newborn sessions on weekends or evenings.
+ Several weeks before your due date I will email a detailed prep guide and a questionnaire - filling this out helps me get to know your family, your expectations and ideas, etc. Please take the time to read through the prep guide, as it helps our session go smoothly.
+ I supply all of the backdrops, furniture, hats, headbands and wraps for the session. Newborns are happier if they are not changed too often, and therefore will be swaddled, in a diaper or naked for the majority of the session.
+ My style tends to lean more towards simple, neutral images that focus on your sweet baby, rather than elaborate sets and props. Of course we are happy to accommodate special items you’d like to incorporate, but our clients typically have minimal “Pinterest” requests.
Mini Session Information
+ We offer several mini session events throughout the year. Mini Sessions are 10-15 minute sessions set at a pre-determined location. Your gallery will usually include between 5-10 edited images with a print release.
+ Family Mini Sessions are offered on set dates in the warmer months and do not have a 'theme' or props - I just capture your family's smiles and interactions!
+ Holiday Minis will have an outdoor set in late October/early November, and a studio set in November/December. Booking opens in September.
+ Mini sessions will be announced via email and social media.
